Also, the delegations would attend several events including the Congress hearing on North Korean human rights issue. The hearing will be hosted by Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-VA), co-chairman of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, and the defectors would give testimonies on their stories on defection as well as the reality of North Korea. During their visits, they will attend the forums on national defense and foreign policy and meet with US congressmen to raise the concern on the human rights issue in North Korea. The movie can have the first premiere on Capitol Hill due to the continuous efforts of the North Korean human rights advocate Suzanne Scholte. She is a North Korean human rights expert who played a crucial role to legislate North Korea Human Rights Act in 2004. Scholte has been engaged in the issue actively and helped a lot to produce the movie as a strong advocate of the awareness campaign on human rights in North Korea to US Congress. The premiere of the movie ¡®48M¡¯ is expected to raise the international concern on the human rights of North Koreans as well as the defectors. freenk
